A LONG WAY FROM HOME PROJECT

A Long Way From Home: Empowering Migrant Women Through Creative Writing.

A Long Way From Home Project is a pioneering initiative of Arts for Survival that uses the power of creative writing to empower migrant women in the United Kingdom. The project provides a platform for women to share their stories of migration, exploring the triumphs and tribulations of their journeys.

Facilitated by a professional writer, participants engage in creative writing workshops to develop their narratives. These stories are then published and transformed into community films, offering a powerful and authentic portrayal of the migrant experience.

The A Long Way From Home Project is a testament to the resilience and strength of migrant women. By giving them a voice and a means of expression, the project helps to challenge stereotypes and promote understanding.
